The investor database: who stands behind it

An investor search is only as good as the access to the right capital providers. For more than 20 years IGCP has maintained its own database of over 500 active investors in the German-speaking region. What matters is not the number but the selection: for each transaction, depending on industry, size and occasion, different investors are relevant. We make that selection before any name is mentioned.

    Frequently asked questions

What is the IGCP investor database?
An investor database built over more than 20 years and continuously maintained, with more than 500 active investors in the DACH region — strategic buyers, private equity funds, family offices, investment firms and MBI candidates. It is the basis of our investor network: not an open directory, but a curated pool from which we select individually per transaction and discreetly approach the fitting investors.
How many investors does the database contain?
More than 500. What matters, though, is the situation-specific selection: depending on industry, company size and transaction type, different investors are suitable. For a concrete project, a focused longlist is created — not a mass mailing.
What does access to the investor database cost?
The enquiry and the initial call are free and non-binding. Whether and in what form a mandate results is discussed openly in the initial call, including fees.
Does my sale or investor search remain confidential?
Yes. Your company appears in no public directory and in no listing. Investors first receive only an anonymised teaser; your name is only disclosed after a signed confidentiality agreement (NDA).
Which companies is the database suitable for?
Established, owner-led companies in the DACH region — industry-agnostic, typically with revenues of €300,000 to €15 million. Occasions are company sale, succession, growth capital, minority investments and MBO/MBI. For foundation and early-stage financing, angel networks and venture capital are the better addresses.
How is this different from an investor platform or marketplace?
On platforms and marketplaces you list and wait for inbound enquiries. From a curated database it is the other way around: we select suitable investors and approach them through our investor network — actively, in parallel and anonymously. This creates competition for your company while protecting confidentiality.
How long does it take to find an investor?
A structured investor search typically takes 6 to 12 months in the market. At IGCP it is usually 3 to 6 months — because the preselection is drawn from the existing database and several candidates are approached in parallel.
