As founder of Keylogic GmbH, Mr. Brendel had developed an innovative Computer-Aided Facility Management software that supports companies in managing buildings and many related processes. IGCP was aware that software-focused, well-capitalised investor groups in particular were under significant investment pressure and had signalled strong interest in business software investments.
Process
IGCP Capital Partners GmbH acted as exclusive advisor for the succession solution of entrepreneur Rudolf Brendel. Mr. Brendel exclusively mandated IGCP to structure and execute his succession.
Outcome
Mr. Brendel recognised the attractive exit opportunity to find a strategic investor and, with IGCP's support, was able to seize it. The company was successfully transferred to Ookam Software — Mr. Brendel is now financially independent.
